  • Preparation Steps:
    Prepare the Vegetables: Blend onion, garlic, and bell peppers until smooth and pureed.
    Mix the Kofta: Combine minced beef, breadcrumbs, salt, smoked paprika, and blended vegetables in a bowl.
    Shape and Stuff the Kofta: Form meatballs and stuff them with cheese, sealing them tightly.
    Chill the Kofta: Freeze for 30 minutes to set.
    Fry the Kofta: Cook in butter and fresh sage leaves until golden.
    Bake the Kofta: Place on a baking tray and bake at 220°C (430°F) for 5 minutes.
    Make the Sauce: Deglaze the frying pan with barbecue sauce and pan juices, simmering until thickened.
    Serve: Drizzle the sauce over the kofta and enjoy with sides.
