Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups brewed espresso (or strong coffee), cooled
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ cups mascarpone cheese, cold
  • 1 cup heavy cream, cold
  • 24-30 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
  • Optional: Coffee beans, fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preparation Steps:
    Brew the coffee and let it cool. Add coffee liqueur if desired.
    Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a double boiler until pale and frothy.Fold in mascarpone.
    Whip heavy cream and fold into mascarpone mixture until smooth.
    Briefly dip ladyfingers in coffee and layer in dish. Top with mascarpone cream.
    Repeat layers, finishing with mascarpone cream on top.
    Chill in the fridge for 4-6 hours, or overnight for best results.
    Dust with cocoa powder before serving and garnish with coffee beans or mint.

Notes

For the perfect texture, ensure that the ladyfingers are quickly dipped in coffee to avoid sogginess. Refrigerating the tiramisu overnight allows the flavors to meld beautifully, creating a rich, indulgent dessert.
